Chocolate mug cake (eggless):

To make this cake, you will need:

  • 4 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ tbsp. white sugar (powdered/granulated. I used powdered white sugar) (You can add more sugar if you’d like a sweeter cake)
  • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 2 ½ tbsp. milk
  • 1 ½ tbsp. oil

Utensils needed: A mug, a spoon

  • Add all the ingredients into the mug and stir with a spoon until homogenous, getting rid of lumps. You can alter the quantities of the individual ingredients to come up with the taste that you like the best. For example, if you want the cake to be bittersweet, increase the cocoa. If you like the cake moist, increase the quantity of the liquid ingredients.
  • Put your mug in the microwave for about 2 minutes. It can take anywhere between 1 ½ and 3 minutes to cook.
  • Take out of the microwave and enjoy your cake!

Chocolate topping sauce

Anything is better with some chocolate sauce! So here is a cheat chocolate sauce that is stupid simple to make.

You will need:

  • drinking chocolate powder
  • milk

Utensils needed: a bowl (microwavable), a spoon

  • Add drinking chocolate powder in a bowl. There is no specific quantity as such, it depends on how much chocolate sauce you want to make. Add in the milk spoon by spoon. When I made the sauce, I used 5 tbsp. of drinking chocolate and around 2-3 tsp of milk. Mix the drinking chocolate-milk mixture together until you are happy with the thickness of the sauce.
  • Put the bowl into the microwave for about 40 seconds. Your chocolate topping sauce is ready!

(Tip: After preparing the sauce, you can place it in the fridge for a while and use it as a sort of chocolate syrup)

Chocolate clay

To make this dessert you will need:

  • Milk/dark chocolate chips (or chocolate bars broken into small pieces- I used 1 milk chocolate bar and 1 dark chocolate bar)
  • Some milk
  • Texture ingredients- One or more of the following: a cookie-crumbled, health drink powder like Boost, Bournvita, bread crumbs

Utensils needed: a bowl (microwavable), a spoon

Place your chocolate chips (or pieces) into a bowl and add two to four spoons of milk, ensuring that all the chocolate pieces are coated by or surrounded with the milk. The milk ensures that the chocolate melts faster and doesn’t burn easily.

Put this in the microwave for about thirty seconds. The chocolate should hold its form when you take it out of the microwave, but give way into liquid as you stir. Stir until you arrive at a homogenous mixture.

Then add your texture ingredients. I added crumbled cookies and boost powder. If you add a lot of this, then your clay will be hard and drier, if you add less, your clay will be molten. You can top it off with roasted almond if you like. Your chocolate clay is ready!

(Tip: You can also leave the clay in the fridge for a few hours and it will turn into a rich and thick ganache!)                           -Sanjana
